Biography

     I have been interested in photography since the mid 70’s when I documented our family vacations at various East Coast locations. The excitement and anticipation that came over me while waiting on the prints to arrive from the photo lab was truly thrilling. I still get the same feeling today whether it is watching a print develop in a tray of developer, opening a package of prints at the photo lab, looking at the screen on the back of my digital camera or printing a picture from my computer. Photography is a life long passion that allows me to express my feelings.

     An Engineer by trade, I very much enjoy the creative process of Photography and creating Fine Art as an alternative to the daily routine of manufacturing. I am not constrained by equipment, I shoot film and digital and process print traditionally or with a Photo printer. I am mostly a self-taught photographer although I have attended some Photography classes over the years and have read numerous books and magazines.

      My Photo offerings are from 9 different countries as well as many different states in the US. My goal is to create an emotional attachment to a picture, strike a provoking thought or cause the viewer to feel connected in some way to the photograph. I do not limit myself to a single subject but look for motifs that will ask a question, make a statement or cause an emotional reaction in the viewer.
