Artist Bio
Kathy Justice graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the
University
of
Georgia
. After graduation, she moved to
New York City
where she studied at the Art Students’ League. Kathy and her husband, Charles, have two grown sons and resided in , the
Aleutian Islands
,
Washington, DC
,
Moscow
, and now in
Easley, SC.
Life in these far flung places allowed Kathy to take advantage of unique educational opportunities and learn native techniques. During her time in , she studied Shodo and Ikebana with local artists. While employed by the American Embassy in
Moscow
, she studied privately with several Russian artists, and explored printmaking techniques at the Moscow Studio, with Dennis O’Neil of the Corcoran College of Art + Design. Kathy recently studied photography at the
University
of
Georgia
’s Studies Abroad Program in
Cortona,
.
In 2005, Kathy began to pursue her art full-time. She is a member of Upstate Visual Arts and the Metropolitan Arts Council of Greenville, SC.
