Marsha R. Kennedy
Marsha R. Kennedy was born in Greenville South Carolina. She is a graduate of Christ Church Episcopal School. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Studio Art (concentrating in Sculpture) and Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 1999. In 2003, Marsha R. Kennedy graduated from the University of Tennessee with the degrees of Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Business Administration specializing in Environmental Management and Global Business. She practices law in Greenville as a Guardian ad Litem, protecting and advocating the “best interest of the child.”
For the past fifteen years and now in her spare time, she has been creating a large collection of artwork. She has exhibited work in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Indiana since 1995. One of her pieces has also been inducted into the permanent collection at Christ Church Episcopal School. She has won various awards for her artwork including 1st place in the 2008 Sculpturama Show in Tryon, NC. She teaches Sculpture classes and creates work under commission.
Marsha R. Kennedy has always been active viewing, studying, and creating art. She works in all mediums but has a special fondness for Sculpture. Marsha has been most influenced by the work of Jackie Winsor and recently Damien Hirst Marsha’s diverse background and interests (including Animal Rights, Religion, International (specifically Developing World) Travel, and Cross-Cultural Understanding) is evident in the theory, subject matter, and themes of her artwork. She currently has many cross media series in progress.
